I don't understand how Gov. Richardson's policy cannot be seen as a violation of the provisions in federal law that criminalizes behavior that aids and abets illegal immigrants.

As other states and cities pass laws that make their communities less hospitable to illegal immigrants, New Mexico can expect an influx of the illegals looking for more comfortable areas.

We need legislation that will terminate all federal monies going to local governments that create sanctuaries for illegals.
