At the risk of isolating some of my constituency, Me, I do own an AK-47 and love using it. Though our current actions in the middle east do make it difficult to obtain ammunition, as that is the preferred weapon in that part of the world.

(warning, sarcasm ahead) That is the true reason I deplore the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. When a solid, upstanding, law-abiding American citizen can not readily and easily purchase hundreds of rounds of ammunition for his assault rifle at a fair and decent price, something is wrong with this world and we must stand up to face it.
