I am also sure that he knows (and FF knows that he knows) that he was intentionally keeping an improtant details or two secret and I applaud FF for trying to get some help from the legal system despite the wording.
Another interesting point that I didn't see mentioned is that De Niro at first tried to get the case thrown out because he didn't feel that the paperwork had been actually delivered to him. It was put under the windshield wiper of a car he was a passenger in because he wouldn't open the door.
