As far as the 'Us vs. Them' comment, in 25 years in practice, I simply have not seen it as Allstate has settled with my clients, first party. Now, get a third party claim represented by counsel and the gloves come off, as they should. Do they expect we should make it easy for them to run their file-and-settle lawsuit mills?
I know one local attorney who in over 15 years Personal Injury practice had never tried a case to a jury verdict, seldom appeared in court at all. I observed him settle many claims that had serious merit for dimes on the dollar to make a quick buck, leaving damaged lives only partially restored.
