it's not so much the insurance companies, yeah they profit, but legislators don't understand, we offer med payements and they don't want to pay the premiums. we took of PIP back in 2000 and look what that did to the health insurance industry! Now we're upset because individuals are not being responsible and getting proper coverages we have to have the insurance companies baby their clients? Why don't they go back to PIP and drive out all these shady companies that aren't even paying out on the claims just on the insured vehicles alone.
