My son, Traven Brandon, is one of those tireless CalFire firefighters, working 21 days and then getting a 72-hour break. He is off to Butte County for at least 2 weeks. At least they get fed well! In my local neighbourhood, Greenfield Ranch, Mendocino County, the fire came withoin a mile of my house, and maybe 1000 feet of my step-son's house. Thanx to my kids, stepkids, friends and neighbours, and with much thanx to CalFire, our local fire is out.
