CA Spark: It would be interesting to know how many homes have been destroyed versus how much has been spent trying to control/extinguish these fires. My guess it's a comparatively small amount. My point is, when an area is prone to wildfires EVERY YEAR, maybe people should re-think where they build. I realize some people just love where they live but it's their risk to take. It's akin to the boneheads who love to live near rivers and lakes that flood with some regularity. They would never consider moving. That's fine, but don't expect other taxpayers to foot the bill.
