The State of California has increased the number of investigators within the DOI and it makes sense when looked at under the light of the budget crisis. What better way to add additional funds to the state coffers than through stepped up enforcement measures that result in more violators being caught and more fines be levied? Another area where revenue is being generated is through increases in fines for traffic violations. Is it a waste of State resources to step up enforcement of traffic laws?

Besides, as insurance agents I'd think you'd be happy to hear of these enforcement actions since they might result in you writing more policies.
