Considering most people "fudge" on their mileage now when buying auto insurance, I highly doubt many people would go for this. I can also see this backfiring on the companies as well. Say they offer this and then it comes out and the companies are actually charging more for the insurance since the actual mileage is now higher than the insured use to estimate. Pretty soon you will have Harvey and his ilk saying the insurance companies are screwing over the consumers with the new PAYD plan. I am getting really tired of these politicians using the IC job in CA as a stepping stone to the Governorship. So much pandering and sound bites by both Dem and Rep commissioners over the last 12 years.
