Call it waht it is, a TAX. Why should the insurance industry be charged with collecting a TAX imposed by the State and having to explain to every upset client why their insurance is going up because of the State's need to cure it budget problems. It is time the folks in Sacramento start to run the State as a business and when there is a decline in revenues they make cuts just like any private business is required to. It seems when times are good and revenues are up Government increases it's spending but puts nothing aside for the future but when times are lean they have only one solution and that is to raise taxes. It's time they address the hard issues and work within their means.
