I'm concerned that with all the companies going bankrupt, US companies and real estate is either going to be owned by the government or foreigners, who seem to be buying US companies and real estate in record numbers. Koreans have bought the AIG headquarters in NYC and a partner for the company came right out and said the transaction "was a key stepping stone in our long-range plan to establish a major presence for Korean institutions in the US property and capital markets." It appears no Americans can afford to buy anything, just sell to get out of debt, and foreigners are the ones with all the money to buy.
