If that is what you are after, you may as well contract direct with Amerisafe and not give Appund half your commissions. You are doing all the work and tossing in a middle man. Applie...

Also, work on group life with youe existing Commercial Accounts. You have a natural market in place, you are already in the door, they trus...

Re: Help with hiring a CSR

Yes, I do. I also have them sign a no compete clause. I am a big fan of the Interns. Over the years, they continue to be the most productive. When they get done with school, they go back to where they came from so I do not need to worry about them taking business with them. After they graduate and l...

Re: Help with hiring a CSR

Why would you consider hiring someone that works for a direct competitor while they would be working for you? Seems like a conflict of interest. Even an honest mistake (punching in the wrong user id by force of habit) could cost you. Have you considered going to a local college and inquiring about a...

Heard that last week from a Personal Lines Growth Consultant again. We have the worst tech in the industry. They are aware of the problem and are working o...

Re: selling commercial vs personal lines.

I started with the easiest commercial product in the mix. Workers Comp is easy and its cut and dry. Someone gets hurt on the job, it pays. The employer get sued it pays. everyone understands it.Then it boils down to Carrier Rating and pricing. Get some of them under your belt, your carriers will be ...

Find a nich that is not being worked. For example, the NFP agencies in my area are not being worked. I am hitting them hard and having a decent amount of success. Just wrapped up $48,000 in premiums over three accounts today alone.
