Re: Healthcare Reform

I'm with you, Kevin! The problem with adding all of these costs, that are "expected" and "likely", under an insurance policy will lead to the product being less affordable. If anyone should understand that concept, you would think it would be insurance agents and company employee...

Re: Florida Independents

If it's anything like Texas, you do have to have a company sponsor the license. Talk to the company that says you have been approved and tell them that you need them to sponsor your appointment. They should know what you mean if that's the case.

Re: Farmers Insurance

Justthere, Interesting take. Here's another one. Perhaps the insurance company/management company continues to prove that they don't know what they are doing by perpetually hiring those agents that you describe as unable or unworthy of being a Farmers agent. Could that be true? I think that's much m...

Re: Farmers Insurance

Sundevil, You do have a great attitude, and I hope that never changes. But, as you progress and mature in your Farmers shoes, the chances are extremely high that those lemons will become more and more caustic. As long as you keep your great attitude, while keeping your eyes open and feelers out for ...

Re: Filing Bankruptcy as an Insurance agent

Sean & Barefoot, Fair enough. I apologize. I was probably having a bad day. I was definitely rough. Barefoot was very helpful, although I think we should all be a little careful when it comes to showing people exactly how to escape the debts they create. You might not think it affects you, but i...

Re: Filing Bankruptcy as an Insurance agent

Sean, Are you kidding? You didn't read the paperwork? You're an insurance agent. In looking at your website, you look to have expertise in many, many areas. I've got to say that sounds just a little amazing for someone of your apparent caliber. Well, if people have to learn the lesson of not signing...

Re: Farmers Insurance

Hey guys, I have to chime in about Farmers also. I too was a Farmers agent that overstayed my welcome. Honeymoons are always good, but some are longer/shorter than others ...it will come to an end one day, though. I should have left years before I finally did. I can't tell you how glad I am that I f...

Re: Smart Choice or Superior Access

Meytai, Perhaps you didn't realize it, but there are other alternatives in the market. These are NOT the only two in the biz. There are other similar companies that allow you to own and transfer your book if you get a direct appointment. (Brooke has never been a serious alternative, either - thank g...
