:!: Just one word of warning. You don't know who is subscribing to the daily headlines from Insurance Journal or reading your posts. It could very well be that those same people in company positions in charge of appointments are reading your tirades and see no reason to work with someone who seems o...

Shemeshka,

The link in your posting doesn't work. I was curious. I'm on the company side and working on the Intro to Underwriting course right now. Then I'm hoping in two years to complete the AU designation. I wish you lots of luck. It's hard to do an insurance education on a budget.

And is there a difference between self-study and online classes or are they the same thing? I'm anxious to start working on my CPCU so I will have the tim...

Trying to Earn the Designations

Any suggestions on taking the classes? Is a lecture class better than self study for the CPCU. I would like to start working on my CPCU and have thought of on-line courses since I also attend college part time as well. And on another note, how important is a business degree to the industry? I've bee...

New Certificates at Renewal

In my few years experience at an agency the procedures changed depending on which account manager I worked with. Some just told me to send out new certificates at every renewal and others would have me send the current list for updates and then go off that when it came back. Every company or contrac...

 You should contact the Surplus Line Association of California. Their phone number is (415) 434-4900 or check out their website http://www.slacal.org. That may help you in your search for information.
