(CA) Looking For Market For Long Term Tree Farm
We have a client that's purchasing about 700 acres with $500,000-$1,000,000 current value of evergreen trees on it. His intentions are to grow them for about 20 years and then have them logged, and he wants to secure coverage for the trees. We've been searching through several MGA's with no luck so far. We've found plenty of companies that want the GL, but no one wants to touch the coverage for the actual trees. Any ideas on a market that might take a look at it? Thanks!

You might try Googling "standing timber insurance." I don't know where you are located, but there is an active market for this coverage.
