COLUMBUS, Ohio-Democrats hoping to take advantage of an investment scandal at the state’s insurance fund for injured workers unveiled a TV ad targeting Republicans as the root of problems in Ohio.
The ad purchased by the state Democratic Party for cable stations focuses on Gov. Bob Taft and the three Republicans running to replace him in 2006-Auditor Betty Montgomery, Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell and Attorney General Jim Petro.
The 30-second ad alleged that GOP politicians funneled state money to politically connected donors and ignored the state’s economic problems.
