Indiana insurance regulators announced that the non-resident producer license fee is increasing to $250 for Illinois resident producers. The Indiana Department of Insurance noted that it is required to impose fees on another states’ insurance professionals equal to what the other state charges Indiana’s insurance professionals.
The fee for a two-year non-resident producer license in Illinois is $250. As a result, Indiana will charge an equal fee to Illinois producers applying for or renewing non-resident producer licenses in Indiana.
Other fee increases for Illinois non-resident licensees are as follows:
|Non-resident surplus lines||Individual||$400|
|Non-resident surplus lines||Business||$400|
Indiana regulators say they are analyzing corresponding licensing fees in all states.
