In affirming General Casualty’s rating, the highest classification given by the analyst, A.M. Best cited the company’s disciplined underwriting approach, balanced book of business, favorable operating environment, and strong agency relationships.
The company experienced record premium growth in 2000, reporting total net written premiums exceeding $757 million and posting a 13.2 percent increase over the previous year.
