Nuts & Bolts: The St. Paul Companies introduced an enhanced version of Global Companion, an international commercial property and general liability product designed to help protect U.S.-based companies from the risks associated with conducting business overseas. The product provides coverage for kidnap and ransom, and incidental ocean cargo. It also covers property, liability, excess auto, foreign voluntary workers' compensation and executive assistance. Domestic companies with foreign operations conducting business over the Internet can access coverage for e-commerce risks through products offered by The St. Paul's Global Technology Underwriting business unit.
Dollars: Limits of liability up to $25 million. The deductibles, premiums and policy limits vary on a case-by-case basis.
Carrier: St. Paul works through a partner network of insurance carriers in various countries. All markets are admitted.

Professional Liability for Homeland Security Department Contractors
Nuts & Bolts: The AIG Companies introduced SAFETY Act Homeland Protector, a new set of product and professional liability coverages designed for companies developing and selling anti-terrorism products and technologies in accordance with the Support Anti-Terrorism By Fostering Effective Technologies Act of 2002. The new program insures companies against the product and/or professional liabilities that can arise when a product or technology certified by the Department of Homeland Security is deployed to defend against, respond to, or recover from a terrorist attack. Coverage is activated only when an act of terrorism has occurred.
Dollars: Up to $25 million in limits are available.
Carrier: Lexington rated "AAA" by Standard & Poor's.

Nuts & Bolts: General agent KF&B Inc., of Glendale, Calif., announced a new public auto program. Covered are charter and sightseeing buses, limousines, tour vans, and various types of shuttle vans. Nationwide, intermediate or local radius options are available with filings provided for DOT, PUC, state certificates, and specialty filings for airports.
Dollars: Liability limits to $5 million for physical damage and general liability. Premiums vary by account size. Deductibles of various levels are specifically tailored to the insured. Submissions need to include recently produced loss runs and MVRS for all drivers. Requests for quotations are subject to prior reservation and agent approval.
Carrier: Clarendon National Insurance Co., rated "A-," admitted.
