Abacus Insurance Brokers has a new event cancellation program that is being distributed online through the APM Platform and is available exclusively to brokers. In real time, brokers can quote and bind online. Coverage is available for more than 150 types of events, including such perils as weather, postponement, abandonment and others.

Dollars:
No deductibles. Premium starts at $350 and limits go up to $250,000.

Carrier:
Lloyds of London rated "A," non-admitted.

Habitational Real Estate

Nuts & Bolts:
Prism Inc. is offering a new habitational real estate program that covers HOAs, apartments, condos, offices and strip-malls that qualify.

Dollars:
Limits are $300 million per occurrence, per location. Deductibles range from $5,000 to $10,000 for property, $2,500 for general. Minimum premium is $25,000.

Carrier:
Hartford, Travelers, Zurich rated "A+ 9-15," admitted.

All.

Property for Public Entities

Nuts & Bolts:
Victor O. Schinnerer and Co. is offering an admitted property policy for all types of public entities. The policy features a specialized property enhancement for public entities, which provides higher limits for various coverages and causes of loss, including accounts receivable, computers, media and more. Also included in the policy is coverage for equipment breakdown, and earthquake and sprinkler leakage at full limits. Schinnerer will discuss excess layer capability, DIC coverage and agreed amount policies.

Dollars:
Minimum premium is $25,000 with flexible deductible options available.

Carrier:
Insurance Company of the West, rated "A-" by A.M. Best, admitted in 42 states.

States Available:
All except Connecticut, District of Columbia, Delaware, Florida, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia and tier I-II wind areas.

Residential Wrap-Up

Los Angeles-based Lemac and Associates has a new residential wrap-up market. The carrier is new to the wrap-up market, so they have a large capacity for condominium, townhouse, apartment and single-family dwelling projects.

Dollars:
Minimum premiums vary. Limits are $2,000,000/$2,000,000, however Lemac has carriers available to write excess limits.

All.

Universal Excess

Nuts & Bolts:
The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. introduced Universal Excess, a new excess insurance policy that fits over directors and officers, fiduciary, employment practice, miscellaneous professional and tech errors and omissions products issued by any insurer. Universal Excess is designed for public and private organizations of all sizes. It follows the primary policy in key areas such as exclusions, definitions and severability clauses and is said to allow the underlying limits to be paid by the insured if the primary insurer becomes financially insolvent.

Dollars:
As an excess policy, the coverage follows the primary policies. Limits go to $25 million depending on the type and size of business, and whether it's public or privately owned. There is no minimum premium.

The Hartford Financial Services Group rated "A+," admitted and nonadmitted

Cyber Risk

Nuts & Bolts:
ISO introduced a new line of insurance to cover cyber risk. The new program includes policy contract forms, underwriting rules, loss costs (projections of future claims) and an advisory application supplemented by an advisory underwriting guide. The menu-based policy comprises five separate agreements: Web site publishing; network security; replacement or restoration of electronic data; cyber extortion; and business income and extra expense.

Dollars:
Base deductible for the other coverages is $5,000 with other options available.

States Available:
Available in 18 states, including Arkansas, and U. S. Virgin Islands.
