National Union Fire Ins. Co. of Pittsburgh, Pa., a member company of American International Group Inc., launched "PrivateRisk Protector," a new management and professional liability portfolio of coverages designed to address the broad spectrum of exposures to the financial health of private companies. With PrivateRisk Protector, businesses may choose one or more of six coverages, including directors and officers, private company, employment practices, pension trust, fidelity and crime, employed lawyers professional, and Internet media, and combine them into a single efficient program based on their unique risk profiles. PrivateRisk Protector users automatically receive "EPL Pak Premier," a package of products and services that address proper workplace training and practices.
Dollars:
Limits (depending on risk profile) for D&O, PTL, EPL and Crime all go up to $5 million each; Internet media liability goes up to $1 million; and employed lawyers goes up to $2.5 million. Deductibles (depending on risk profile) can be as low as $2,500 for D&O and EPL. Deductibles for fidelity and crime start at $1,000; employed lawyers (depending on number of lawyers covered) is also $1,000; and Internet media is $25,000.

Policies can include all risk with 200 percent replacement cost, valuable articles coverage, earthquake, umbrella, child abduction, home invasion, carjacking and stalking threat.

Garage Program

Cascade-Amstar is offering a new garage program designed for tough classes of business. This is a pen facility designed to provide fast turnaround. Incidental towing is not a problem. Many tough classes will be considered, such as used auto dealers, tire shops, valet parking, RV sales and repair, mobile repair and mobile detailers.
Dollars:
Policy limits for general liability are $1-2 million and $1 million GKLL. There is a minimum deductible of $500 and a minimum premium of $1,000.

Mono-line Workers' Comp

Venture Programs Inc. launched a new wholesale division that offers mono-line workers' compensation coverage for heterogeneous risks outside of Venture's traditional industry programs. The new division, Venture Brokerage, will offer access to multiple A.M. Best "A" rated workers' comp markets with target premiums from $2,000 to $100,000. Coverage will be available in all states with Web access (www.venturebrokerage.com) to eligible class codes. The new division will be operated independently of the five "best-of-class" programs for which Venture provides insurance and risk management services - The Preferred Club Program, Venture Banking, Venture Hospitality, Venture Technology and Venture Life Sciences.

Premiums will extend to $1 million in select states.
