Lemac General Agency in Orange, Calif., has added a new market for workers' compensation. Eligible classes include, but are not limited to, agricultural operations, building operations, contractors (no roofers or framers), habitational, janitorial, manufacturing, professional (attorneys, doctors, insurance agents, etc.), retail stores, trucking and wholesale stores. Over 200 classes of business are eligible. The carrier will also include out of state exposures (incidental to California-based risks only) and can consider clients with poor loss ratios and even lapsed coverage. Experience modification factor must be under 125 percent.
Dollars:
Annual premium must be between $5,000 and $115,000. There are no deductibles and limits are statutory.

Public Auto
Nuts & Bolts:
Union General is offering a variety of programs to address public auto exposures. The program can handle accounts up to 10 units. Public auto classes include limo, day care, airport, and hotel shuttles and others.
Dollars:
Limits up to $1.5 million. There are no minimum premiums and deductibles vary.

Shelters
Nuts & Bolts:
Union General has an "A+" rated carrier offering general liability and professional liability coverage for various shelters. Abused children, battered women, teenage runaway shelters and homes for unwed mothers can be considered. Personal injury is included. Employees are additional insureds and volunteers are treated as employees.
Dollars:
Policy limit is $1 million/ $2 million aggregate. Premiums vary, with a $500 deductible.

Northfield rated "A+," non admitted.

McFall General Agency Inc. is offering coverage for residential and general contractors for the small to medium size general contractor for both commercial and residential projects. Habitational work is limited to eight or fewer units in any one construction site ever.
Dollars:
Policy limit is $1 million/ $2 million aggregate. Deductibles start at $1,000 and premiums start at $750.
