It may look like Swahili, but the New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance’s web site name change is simple compared to the old one. The department’s previous address, http://www.naic.org/nj/NJHOMEPG.HTML, has been simplified to http://www.NJDOBI.org.
“This change will allow consumers easier access to the multitude of useful information currently posted on the department’s web site,” said Karen L. Suter, acting Banking and Insurance Commissioner. “This change is part of our ongoing effort to make important information about banking and insurance accessible to consumers.”
The department’s award-winning site has been on the worldwide web since 1995. It was the first New Jersey department with a home page, and the third state insurance regulator in the U.S. to have a home page.
