A recent study by J.D. Power and Associates has ranked the Erie Insurance Group highest in customer satisfaction for homeowners insurance.
Erie’s announcement noted that the study found the company performed especially well in being easy to contact, the courtesy and friendliness of its representatives, and their ability to answer questions.
The multi-line insurer headquartered in Erie Penna. has more than 3.2 million policies in force in 11 states and the District of Colombia. It provides auto, home, business and life insurance through more than 7,500 independent agents representing more than more than 1500 agencies.
President and CEO Stephen A. Milne, commenting on the report said in a written statement, “Our agents and employees are proud to have something they work so hard to achieve recognized by such a reputable organization as J.D. Power and Associates. Erie has a service philosophy that began in 1925 with our founder, H.O. Hirt, who said ‘If you give your policyholders the service they have a right to expect, you will grow and prosper.’” Milne expressed satisfaction that the company was following that path.
