Senator Thomas A. Bozek will receive the Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut (PIACT) “Legislator of the Year award” at this year’s convention, currently under way at Foxwoods Resort Casino, Mashantucket.
Sen. Bozek will receive the award, “in recognition of his time served on the Senate and the efforts he has taken for the insurance industry, in serving as the chair of the Legislature’s insurance and real estate committee, said the announcement.
Sen. Bozek, the assistant majority leader in the state Senate, is currently serving his sixth term, representing the 6th District, containing New Britain and Berlin, and is vice-chair of the banks committee, and a member of the appropriations and internship committees.
“Sen. Bozek has done so much in his time as a legislator, and as chair of the Insurance Committee,” stated PIACT President James Benson, CPCU. “He has worked for the consumers and has been supportive of PIACT’s efforts, especially in our stand on the issue of deregulating commercial lines, for which we are deeply grateful. We are very honored to be able to give Sen. Bozek the title of PIACT Legislator of the Year.”|”piact, honors, sen., bozek, legislator, of, year
