OneBeacon Insurance Group announced that Carey Benson will move from his current post as COO of its recently formed AutoOne Insurance subsidiary to become President and CEO. Alvin Kaltman was appointed as the subsidiary’s non executive Chairman.
Benson will continue to report to John Cavoores, OneBeacon President and COO., who stated that,”We are delighted to have Carey managing this business for us.” He indicated that “AutoOne has made a strong start in a tough environment and we credit both Al and Carey for that effort. We are confident that AutoOne will improve OneBeacon’s New York auto results through reduced costs for our assigned business and by leveraging the demand for servicing carriers.”
