Susan F. Cogswell, Connecticut’s Insurance Commissioner, will be the guest speaker at the 2002 Connecticut Young Insurance Professionals’ Industry Partners (CTYIP) Breakfast and Annual Sponsor Appreciation Program on Tuesday, June 20.
The breakfast meeting will begin at 8 a.m. at the Avon Old Farms Inn, in Avon, Conn. “The program offers CTYIP a chance to extend gratitude to its company sponsors throughout the year,” said the announcement.
“We are thrilled to have Ms. Cogswell speaking at our breakfast,” stated CTYIP President J. Kyle Dougherty. “Not only will she focus on current industry issues and trends, but she will cover many of the upcoming legislative initiatives that are pressing in the state of Connecticut.”
Cogswell, the first woman named to head the Department since its founding in 1865, has served as commissioner since 2000. She was previously the Connecticut Insurance Department’s chief of staff and has held management positions in both the insurance and banking industries.
