Harleysville Insurance of Harleysville, Pa. announced the appointment of new executives to two of its Midwest subsidiaries as part of the company’s plans to grow small commercial and personal lines in the region.
Daniel Barr was named president and chief operating officer of Harleysville Lake States Insurance Company of Traverse City, Mich. Barr previously led Harleysville’s Minnesota operations. He replaces Keith A. Fry, who was promoted in August to senior vice president of field operations at the organization’s home office in Harleysville, Pa.
Thomas Glancy was appointed regional president and chief operating officer of Harleysville Insurance in Minnesota, based in Edina, Minn. He previously headed Harleysville’s Midwest claims service center, also located in Edina.
