The Council of Insurance Brokers of Greater New York (CIBGNY)elected their officers for 2003. The election took place Sept. 26 at the general membership meeting. The installation will take place Nov. 22 at El Caribe Country Club in Brooklyn.
Alfred Caputo, vice president and partner of Buckingham Badler in Staten Island, was elected president. Anthony Calafiore, is president and owner of Apex Brokerage Company Inc. in Staten Island, was named vice president.
The council also elected Peter Resnick, assistant vice president for business development for Interboro Mutual Indemnity Insurance Co. in Mineola, and Lloyd Sabatelli, vice president of Marchetti & Sabatelli Associates Inc. in Brooklyn, as vice presidents.
Justin Fries, vice president of Garber, Atlas, Fries & Associates Inc. in Lynbrook, was elected secretary, while Shelly Kozel, president and owner of Lezok Ltd. in New York, was named treasurer.
