The Council of Insurance Brokers of Greater New York (CIBGNY)announced the induction of its new officers, elected Sept. 26, during its 25th annual dinner dance Nov. 22 in Brooklyn.
Alfred Caputo of Buckingham Badler Associates Inc. in Staten Island is the association’s new president. Anthony Calafiore of Apex Brokerage Company Inc. in Staten Island is the new vice president. Peter Resnick of Interboro Mutual Indemnity Insurance Company in Mineola and Lloyd Sabatelli of Marchetti & Sabatelli Associates Inc. in Brooklyn will also serve as vice presidents.
Justin Fries of Garber Atlas Fries & Associates in Lynbrook is now secretary, and Shelly Kozel of Lezok Ltd. in New York is treasurer.
After he was sworn in as president of CIBGNY, Caputo presented Tower Group Companies with the 2002 Insurance Company of the Year award for its leadership in delivering insurance products during a year of uncharted expectations and dilemmas as our country wages war on terrorism. The award was accepted by Michael Lee, president and CEO of Tower Group Companies.
