Philadelphia Insurance Companies announced that Michael J. Cascio and Margaret M. Mattix have been appointed to the Company’s Board of Directors.
Board Chairman James J. Maguire said in a written statement, “I am pleased to welcome Mr. Cascio and Ms. Mattix to the Board of Directors and look forward to their participation on the Board.”
Cascio has over 24 years of experience in the insurance industry, with concentration in the actuarial, underwriting and reinsurance areas. He is currently the President and CEO of Overseas Partners US Reinsurance Company (Opus Re), a Philadelphia based reinsurer of commercial insurers. He is also a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
Mattix has over 23 years of varied business experience, most notably in the areas of marketing, product development, human resources, e-business and strategic partnerships within the specialty-manufacturing sector. She’s currently the Sr. VP of Exxon Mobil’s Advanced Elastomer Systems, a manufacturer of specialty polymers.
