The Connecticut and New Jersey Young Insurance Professionals will host a new, four-phase program to help aspiring leaders gain management and influence skills to build their careers in the insurance industry.
The YIP Leadership Development Series is comprised of four installments to guide new and aspiring managers through the process of landing a promotion, managing employees for the first time and successfully transitioning from managing to leading. The series launches April 1 in New Jersey and April 8 in Connecticut and the three remaining courses will take place at consecutive intervals throughout the year. The four installments are:
1. Positioning yourself for advancement;
2. First-time manager;
3. Transitioning from management to leadership; and
4. Leader to leader: A CEO panel discussion on “The rise to the top.”
Courses will take place at Middlesex Mutual Assurance Co., in Middletown, Conn. and at the Clarion Hotel and Towers in Edison, N.J. Groups of four or more are eligible for a discounted rate.
