Maryland-based Injured Workers’ Insurance Fund (IWIF) is hosting free policyholder seminars around the state from June through November.
The half-day seminars feature a multi-media format that focuses on safe working habits and effective loss control practices that reduce injuries and contain premiums. Additionally, the agenda highlights a variety of speakers with expertise in claims management, fraud prevention and detection, and legal perspectives of the workers’ compensation system.
The seminars include interactive dialogue between the presenters and attendees. An important segment of the seminars include a mock trial performed by IWIF insurance professionals. The mock trial provides insights into what happens at a workers’ compensation insurance trial. Volunteers from the audience act as jurors.
For more information and reservations for IWIF policyholder seminars, log on to www.iwif.com or contact Keith Brown at 1-800-264-IWIF, ext. 2180.
