The Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut Inc. is calling for nominations for its 2004 Distinction of Professionalism Awards, two awards honoring those independent agents who exemplify the qualities and actions that serve as an example of industry excellence.
The first award-the Professional Agent of the Year award-will be presented to an agent who demonstrates excellence and achievement in insurance marketing and service; personal commitment to professionalism; and contributions to PIA and the community.
The Company Person of the Year award honors a company representative who demonstrates qualities that foster a sound working relationship between insurance agent and company.
“Strong relationships with insurance companies and the community they serve are important to independent insurance agents,” said Robert Gyle, president of PIACT. “These awards serve as an opportunity for our members to recognize those whom they feel have really solidified these connections.”
The awards will be presented to the recipients during PIACT’s Annual Convention, March 16-17 at Foxwoods Resort & Casino, Mashantucket, Conn.
If you know someone who would be a solid candidate for either award, contact PIACT at (800) 424-4244, or log onto to PIACT’s Web site (www.piaonline.org/CT) and enter CS10007 in the Quick-Link box for a nomination form. The deadline for nominations is Feb. 6, 2004.
