Maryland-based Montgomery Insurance, a member of Liberty Regional Agency Markets (RAM), a business unit of Boston’s Liberty Mutual Group, announced that Ed White, CIC, has been promoted to Vice President Personal Lines and Ralph LaSpina CIC, AAI, has been named Regional Vice President, Southeast Regional Office.
White will be responsible for field operations, home office underwriting and support services. He joined Montgomery in 2003 from GoAmerica Auto Insurance, an Indiana-based insurer that is also part of the RAM organization. White indicated that the company’ most important challenge “will be to meet service standards that promote our agencies end goals. We will work hard to develop the best delivery system a strong regional carrier can offer.”
Laspina noted that “Montgomery Insurance’s philosophy is to keep decision-making close to our agents and insureds, that way we can respond quickly to local needs. By taking this philosophy forward, we will continue to enhance Montgomery Insurance’s Southeast Region’s reputation for quality and stability in the marketplace.”
