OneBeacon Professional Partners, a division of OneBeacon Insurance Group, announced the addition of Cameron Stracher as counsel to its media liability products group.
Stracher’s services to OneBeacon Professional Partners in Avon, Conn.will include handling media-liability claim activity, supervising outside counsel, and product consulting.
Vice President Karen Baldwin Stanton, who leads OneBeacon Professional Partners’ media-liability team, said that with Stracher on boad, OneBeacon Professional Partners now has the “knowledge and expertise to address the unique underwriting and claims-handling needs of media organizations including newspaper and magazine publishers, book publishers, radio and TV broadcasters, advertising agencies and advertisers, Web-based media, and video and film producers.”
Stracher is a graduate of Amherst College, Harvard Law School, and the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. He is a professor at New York Law School where he is also the publisher of the law review and teaches classes in, among other subjects, Newsgathering and the Law.
Prior to joining OneBeacon Professional Partners, he practiced media law at Levine Sullivan Koch & Schulz in New York City where he was named partner in 2003. His previous experience includes serving
as in-house litigation counsel at CBS Broadcasting Inc., counsel at Friedman & Kaplan in New York City, teaching at the University of Iowa, and Covington & Burling in Washington, D.C. where he began his legal career.
