Rusty Breeden has been named chief technology officer (CTO) of Virginia-based Markel Corporation, a provider in specialty insurance.
Breeden has more than 25 years of experience in the development and deployment of information technology, primarily in the professional services, banking, direct marketing, and pharmaceutical industries.
“Rusty brings a wealth of knowledge and talent to Markel’s corporate computing environment.” said Tony Markel, president and chief operating officer (COO) of Markel Corp. “I am delighted that Rusty is part of Markel’s management team.”
Prior to joining Markel Corporation, Breeden was partner/executive vice president of Hawkes Technologies.
