Pennsylvania-based Penn National Insurance has realigned the structure of its underwriting operations, resulting in the following position changes.
Robert Brandon has been appointed vice president–underwriting operations. He will oversee the administration of all underwriting operations for the company, and will be directly responsible for all home office and field office underwriting functions. The company’s field offices will report directly to him. He formerly served Penn National Insurance as vice president of commercial lines.
Sharon Lane has been appointed vice president–commercial lines. Sharon will hold management responsibilities for commercial lines, to include the underwriting, loss control, and premium audit functions. She formerly served as home office underwriting manager.
David Simmons has been appointed vice president–marketing, sales, and business development. Simmons formerly served the company as vice president of field operations.
George Ludwig has been appointed vice president of affiliated services for Penn National Insurance, which includes overseeing the operations of the company’s fidelity and surety bonding operations, and president of ESL Inc., the wholesale brokerage subsidiary of Penn National Insurance, which finds markets for excess, surplus, and specialty lines of property/casualty insurance for agents. Ed Rice continues to serve ESL, Inc. as executive vice president. Michael Greer continues to serve as vice president of surety operations. Ludwig formerly served as vice president of underwriting operations.
Penn National Insurance sells personal and commercial property/casualty insurance through a network of more than 750 independent agencies.
