The Hanover Insurance Group reported that Michelle M. Sipple has been named regional vice president, marine, for the company’s New York and New Jersey region. Sipple will work out of the The Hanover’s Piscataway, N.J. office.
Sipple joins The Hanover from Fireman’s Fund, where she served as field underwriting director, responsible for underwriting, producer management, business planning, and marketing. Between 1988 and 2003, she held a variety of positions with The Chubb Group, working in Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Chicago and, most recently, New Jersey, where she served as assistant vice president, property, machinery and marine. In this position, she was responsible for marketing, underwriting, business planning and new business production for the New Jersey and Washington D.C. regions.
While at Chubb, Sipple also held the position of commercial underwriting workstation development and integration manager (2000-2002). In this position, she led a team of business analysts in project planning, business requirement documentation, change management, and collaborating with technical support on application development.
