BMS, a reinsurance intermediary, has appointed Frank Hernandez as senior vice president for its Marine & Energy team. He will be based in Shelton, Conn.
Hernandez was previously at Towers Perrin as head of its Global Marine and Energy unit, and prior to that led the Marine Reinsurance division at Guy Carpenter.
At BMS, Hernandez will be charged with further enhancing the team’s marine business in the U.S. market.
Last year, BMS hired another senior broker Michael Cahill, also based in Shelton, Connecticut, to focus on the team’s U.S. energy business.
