New Hampshire is changing the looks of auto, truck and motorcycle registration documents.
The new certificate will contain a bar code that will allow police or registration officials to copy registration information with a scanner, instead of having to write or type it.
The Division of Motor Vehicles will begin issuing the new, larger registrations at its headquarters in Concord. They will be phased in for the rest of the summer at other DMV offices and cities and towns online with the state registration system.
Motor Vehicles Director Ginny Beecher says the new system will speed up processing, improve security and aid police and inspection stations.
