Hospitality Mutual Insurance Co. In Westboro, Mass., announced that John W. Tympanick has been named president and chief executive officer and has been appointed to its board of directors.
Hospitality Mutual, a mutual insurance company serving the hospitality industry, replaced the Liquor Liability Joint Underwriting Association of Massachusetts (LLJUA), a liquor liability insurer of last resort, in June 2008. Tympanick was named president and chief financial officer of LLJUA in 2004.
Tympanick joined the LLJUA as controller 17 years ago. Before working at LLJUA, he was the assistant controller for Lube 495, Inc., a franchisee of Jiffy Lube. He also was a regional accountant for American Cablesystems, Inc. of Beverly, which is now part of Comcast.
