An explosion has destroyed a Long Island house, but left no injuries.
Shards of wood and furniture were scattered over the lawn and driveway after the two-story Amityville home was leveled Sunday. One car was crushed by the house’s roof.
Rich Brown says most of his belongings were destroyed but he feels grateful that he, his girlfriend and his two children escaped. He says they were lucky the explosion occurred during the day and not while they were asleep.
Neighbors reported hearing a loud boom and seeing a fireball.
