Fire department officials say a worker died in a forklift accident as employees prepared to leave for the day at a metals recycling plant in Concord, N.H.
An emergency call at about 5 p.m. Tuesday indicated the employee was crushed by a forklift at Schnitzer Steel, also known as Advanced Recycling. The worker was identified Wednesday as 33-year-old Todd Leach of Concord.
Investigators from Concord police and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating.
The company processes large amounts of scrap metal for recycling.
