Arbella Insurance Group, the third-largest auto insurer in Massachusetts, announced two promotions within the senior management team. Steve Jacobs will become vice president of Marketing and Tracy Hurley will assume the role of vice president of Claims.
Jacobs assumes responsibility for coordinating all Arbella’s market position and strategy as changes ushered in by Massachusetts new managed competition system increase the competitive landscape, and Arbella’s entry and growth in other New England states broadens the focus of marketing efforts. Prior to joining Arbella, Jacobs spent 15 years in a variety of claim roles with Kemper Insurance.
Hurley has been appointed to take over the role of vice president of Claims. She joined Arbella as assistant vice president of Claims in November 2005 and helped roll out Arbella’s Claim Service Center.
Prior to joining Arbella, Hurley was with the Travelers Insurance Co. in a number of claims management roles.
