Authorities say two people were injured when an explosion leveled a house in South Amboy, New Jersey.
Fire Chief Larry Martin Jr. said the victims were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Their identities and conditions were not immediately known.
The explosion happened shortly before 2:30 p.m. Friday in the central New Jersey community of 8,000 about 10 miles east of New Brunswick.
The blast blew the roof off the house and scattered lumber and other debris over a wide area.
A spokeswoman for Public Service Electric & Gas said it appears that natural gas was involved, but investigators did not find evidence of a leak in the gas main or service to the home.
