S.H. Smith & Co. Inc., a wholesaler and managing general agent headquartered in Hartford, Conn., announced three promotions.
Jeanine Loomis has been promoted to vice president. Loomis works in the St. Paul, Minn., office. She is responsible for agency management and development of directors and officers liability and professional liability. She has been with S.H. Smith & Co. since June 2006 and has been in the insurance industry since 1995. Previously, she had worked with Associated Financial Group.
Blake Hamre has been promoted to assistant vice president. He works in the Framingham, Mass., office in the professional liability department and is responsible for all professional liability coverage including healthcare. Hamre has been with S.H. Smith & Co. since April 2003 and has been in the insurance industry since 1994. He came to S.H. Smith from The Hartford where he was senior underwriter in their financial institutions department. Other underwriting roles he has held include First State and Tamarack Underwriting.
Catherine Smith has been promoted to account manager. She joined S.H. Smith & Co.’s professional and management liability department in February 2011 as assistant account manager. She held a position at Hartford Hospital as a research assistant.
