Marsh, the insurance broking and risk management division of Marsh & McLennan Cos., has promoted Liz Flynn to the newly created position of president of its Insurance Services Businesses unit.

Flynn is based in New York and will report to Peter Zaffino, president and CEO of Marsh Inc. She will retain her current responsibilities as president and CEO of US Consumer.
Marsh’s CEO Peter Zaffino observed that as head of the US Consumer business for the past year, Flynn established a strategy to reinvigorate growth while also focusing on improving operations and information technology.
Flynn joined Marsh in 2011 from Guy Carpenter, where she was the global chief operating officer responsible for strategy, marketing, transformational programs, client support services, technology, and risk and compliance.
Flynn spent most of her career at JPMorgan Chase serving in multiple leadership roles, including executive vice president.
