GEICO Names Assistant VP of Regional Claims in Virginia

GEICO, a Chevy Chase, Md.-headquartered auto insurance unit of Berkshire Hathaway, recently named Jeremy Connor as assistant vice president of regional claims operations at GEICO’s regional office in Fredericksburg, Va. He previously served as director for personal injury protection claims in the Woodbury, N.Y., regional office.

Connor succeeds Terry Mannion, who becomes head of GEICO’s liability claims operations at the corporate headquarters in Chevy Chase, Md.

Connor began his career at GEICO in 1995 as a part-time claims information center associate in New York. In 2003, he became a claims service representative supervisor. He then relocated to the company’s regional office in Tucson, Ariz., and served as a telephone claims representative supervisor before transferring to GEICO’s regional office in Buffalo, N.Y.

There, he helped to establish the claims department and later became the region’s first continuing unit section manager. In 2007, Connor returned to Woodbury to manage planning and operations. In 2008, he became Woodbury’s liability director and in 2010, he served as director of personal injury protection claims.

GEICO (Government Employees Insurance Company) is a member of the Berkshire Hathaway family of companies and is the third-largest private passenger auto insurer in the United States. GEICO handles auto insurance coverage for over 11 million private passenger auto policies and insures more than 18 million vehicles (auto & cycle).
