The moral of the story: don’t disagree with President Obama.

Dig deeper. Can you find documentary evidence confirming any communications between the White House and the DC Mayor’s office?

It is exactly this kind of nakedly political B.S. that we need to put a stop to. This is no different than some GOP lackey getting canned because he made a factually truthful but politically inconvenient statement about climate change.

Isn’t this what they meant by “Hope and Change”?

So does it really surprise anybody that “truth, justice, and the American way” are no longer synonymous terms?

They never were. Where have you been for the last 50 years?

“My way or the highway” is another way to state what occurred to Commissioner White. He was shown the highway by the WH.

Will the other 50 State Commissioners stand up and support Commissioner White or will they roll over to federal control of the insurance industry?

This could be the last gasp for the McCarran-Ferguson Act. It could be that the health insurance industry is on life-support awaiting only the White House to pull the plug on it so that a national health care system can take over. Bye, bye all those health insurance jobs. Hel-lo, bureaucratic control of health decisions.
